A Cup of Italian Hot Chocolate
How are you guys? Wishing you and all of your loved ones a lot of happiness in the New Year! A new year is here so take a moment to reflect and get a fresh outlook on your life. And even when the festivities are almost over, and the holidays are nearing their end, it’s time to prepare for all the new adventures that the New Year will bring into our lives.
For a good start of the New Year, I want to share with you a recipe on how I make a cup of Italian hot chocolate that is so simple, but at the same time so needed to make your cold winter days a bit more bearable.
One of my favorite types of hot chocolate is the Italian hot chocolate. The Italian hot chocolate differs from almost all other types because of its rich and thick texture. This simple hot chocolate recipe will make you a cup of delicious hot chocolate, and won’t take you much time to prepare it.
Ingredients:
500ml Whole milk
120g Chocolate
60g Sugar
Step 1: Prepare the bain-marie and break the dark chocolate in a saucepan. Whisk until it completely melts. Usually, it will take around 3 minutes.
Step 2: Separately, heat the milk with the sugar.
Step 3: Add the melted chocolate to the milk and mix vigorously for a few minutes until the hot chocolate starts to get thicker.
Step 4: Serving is also very easy, just pour the mixture into small cups or a big mug and enjoy!
Step 5 (optional): Sprinkle it a little with grated chocolate or serve it together with a bar of Merci chocolate.
And that’s it. Wasn’t it a simple hot chocolate recipe just as I promised? Let me know if any of you tried making it.
I’ve spent some quality time on New Year’s Eve with my friends. We’ve decided to stay indoors and throw a little party. We had a small intimate dinner, with beautiful table arrangements and the dinner was absolutely delicious. It was a full-course dinner consisting of multiple dishes. For the dessert, we had a New Year’s tiramisù. But instead of bothering you with too many details, guys, I can’t wait to hear how you spent your New Year’s Eve. Feel free to comment and share.
You know that famous saying: “There’s no place like home”. Today, I took a day off, another one after yesterday. I am relaxing at home with a cup of hot chocolate between my hands, writing this post, and planning about how to organize my closet in the next few days, as it really needs some decluttering. If for nothing else, then for the sake of my New Year resolutions.
